Hulu’s Catch-22

I just finished Hulu’s Catch22. An adaptation of the novel of the same name that I’m sure a bunch of folks here have read too. George Clooney was EP, performer and directed on this. The cast is diverse, some well known, some very new faces. The performances were outstanding. The series is billed as a dark comedy, but it’s more of a drama. The production is movie quality. I recommend it.

Anyone else watching this?

As a huge Kyle Chandler and WW2 fan, I definitely plan to give it a spin at some point. I once tried to read the novel and couldn't get past the third page, but am hoping the adaptation process will make it bearable. :p

The original novel is very non-linear story telling. The mini-series pretty much took the story elements and made them more of a straight forward journey. I believe there may be a a couple of flash backs, but that's about it. There's a scene in the 1st. episode that is actually from the conclusion (last). The story tells how your get there. All in all, it's easy to follow, but the dialog sometimes get's lost in the background/fore ground noise. Recommend subtitles for loud times or action sequences.
