In the script of the Phase 2 pilot how did Kirk and Spock stop V´ger?
Were Decker and Ilia supposed to have metaphysicial sex with V´ger in the pilot as well? Or was the solution different?

Both characters were planned as ongoing characters and do appear in all 13 scripts that had been prepared. The ending of "In Thy Image" was problematic in that its ending has Will Decker merging with the alien machine and vanishing with it, but he manages to send a message back that his consciousness has definitely survived.
The Ilia Probe (still called Tasha, after Chekov named the original bridge probe because its pearlescent appearance reminded him of his Aunt Tasha's pearl ring) is found to have reverted to a burnt-out, inert piece of metal after Decker departs, and they assume Ilia is lost forever - but then the original Ilia appears, unharmed.
The producers (and studio) had not yet decided which script would be the follow-up to the telemovie, but the first job of the writing staff would have been to orchestrate a way for Decker to return from his brief sojourn with the living machine, now set off on its journey to explore realms beyond the physical universe.
The writer of the post-TMP comic strip, which appeared in daily newpapers as a TMP promotional tie-in, actually started its first storyline with Ilia sitting at her usual navigator's station! Sure, she could have been another Deltan, but the word balloons even name her as Ilia. As soon as writer/artist Thomas Warkentin realised she didn't survive TMP after all, he just stopped using the character.
