Just rewatched Pathfinder. In it, Barclay gets obsessed with (contacting) Voyager, uses it as an escapist fantasy in which he is Voyager's superman, and in the end actually manages to contact the ship.
Got me thinking: how would he actually have fitted in there? I mean, on the one hand, he might have been relieved to be finally away from 'society' and its expectations at large and his resourcefulness might have been valued, on the other hand, pulling together and forging a close-knit community would probably be way more important on a ship in Voyager's predicament than on a ship like the Enterprise.
So, would Barclay have had some measure of "success" on Voyager, or would he have ended up more like a Good Shepherd kind of character?
