MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!!!! A major spoiler is contained in this trailer, if you don't want it to be ruined...don't watch this trailer.

Here is the fully trailer for How to Train your Dragon 2. HTTYD is the best non Disney/Pixar movie. I can't wait to see this, especially in 3D for the flying scenes. This looks pretty amazing!

Nothing in it to indicate that its going to be consistent or inconsistent with the tv show. I would love just a couple small references, like his dad riding Thornado or seeing some of the new types of dragons they've introduced.

Looks pretty great either way.

I would say its a direct continuation of Defenders of Berk, it looks like the invading army is being lead by Alvin from Outcast Island.

No, that's not Alvin leading the army. There's a similar big scary bearded look to them, but they're different; for one thing, Alvin has a mustache and this guy doesn't.

What's really upsetting about this trailer is that it was created by Fox rather than Dreamworks, and at about 1:25-1:35 it completely spoils what was meant to be one of the film's biggest mysteries. That's outrageously incompetent, and I gather Dreamworks is rather ticked off about it.

^Understandable, I couldn't believe they revealed such a big thing right in the middle of the trailer, especially since it really didn't really need to be revealed for the trailer.
Other than that, I really liked it. The movie looks like a lot of fun.

TBH, I figured well in advance that this would be in the movie- it seems to me more a logical development to expect than a mystery to be spoilered.

^Granted, it's the sort of thing that's not surprising to see in a Dreamworks sequel. Still, I have to wonder why Dreamworks didn't have veto power over this trailer. But then, Hollywood has a long tradition of the studios taking movies out of their makers' control.

Yeah, but this is more the distributor taking it out of the studio's control, which is a bit weird. So, yeah, that's a question, why didn't they have a veto or make their own?
