If there's going to be a short film before Star Trek then Terry Gilliam should direct it. It should be called The Crimson-Shirted Permanent Assurance and have elderly space pirate assurance companymen doomed to die because of their crimson shirts.

I think they should find him in a bar somewhere. He'll be drunk as a skunk and probably starting a fight with another person in the bar. Something along the lines of...he the best engineer in Starfleet...if we can get him to sober up...
