How old is Commander Vale?

I've been curious about something concerning Christine...since during the A Time To Books she had that relationship with Wes Crusher, I'm assuming that isn't going to be brought up at any point in the future? Since Wes himself erased her memories of that time with him and asked the crew not to tell her about their time together? For some reason I've always been fascinated with another encounter between her and him...I liked that particular hook up lol.
