How many years between Aliens and Alien 3?

I am talking "movie" years not calender years.

Alien and Aliens took place 57 years apart.

Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection took place 200 years apart.

I couldn't find the time difference between Aliens and Alien 3.

    Any help?

I remember reading in the novelization of Alien 3 that both Aliens and Alien 3 happened in the same year - 2179.

I always assumed both movies took place during the same year.

That's what I've always assumed as well. It certainly couldn't have been much more than the real-time 5-6 years. The scientist who designed Bishop doesn't look that old.

Not sure the exact length, but it's pretty well assumed to be right after. The real question is how did that face hugger get on board the Sulaco?

Alien 3 was a week after the end of Aliens. As for the hugger, the Queen doesn't need that big sac to make eggs so I assumed she just laid one in the landing gear.
