In all of the television/film that is canon, how many different species (excluding mongrel children ) have been shown (not necessarily named)?

I realize some random aliens look similar, leading to speculation they may be the same race.

Nevertheless, does anyone know enough to give a reasonable estimate to the number of known (named and unnamed) species native to this galaxy (or otherwise) according to canon??

If Borg designations are incremental there have been at least 10026 species/cultures in the galaxy.

At one point, I remember someone here had a running list of alien species seen on-screen. What I don't recall is whether it was for Trek as a whole or just for those which had been seen on Enterprise.
