how many of you realy like the TOS tv show

it is for a lot of you who do like star trek and i got a place for the project.

I would venture that every STAR TREK fan above a certain age likes TOS. By definition.

To a guy like me, 51, asking if a STAR TREK fan likes TOS seems like asking if the Pope is Catholic.

I like it. There's some super cheesy material to be had there for sure, even more so given the dated nature of it, but there are some great stories to be had. It's not my favorite Trek series by any account, but to me the foundation upon which better things were built upon. The TOS movies were even better than the show, TNG, DS9 and VOY all effectively for the most part improved upon the setting and concept. One may like the other series better(or not, as is their privilege), but one has to acknowledge that without TOS, the rest wouldn't have come into being.

I'm a DS9 and TNG fan but I can appreciate TOS even if it's always been pretty dated to me. I still rate it above Voyager and Enterprise which I think were mediocre shows.

TOS was also my 1st trek experience and to me the quintessential Trek... that being said, there have been others that have been good and a large part of my life.

So Yes. I liked it... loved it!

In my opinion you need TOS to appreciate all other forms of Trek.

TOS is brilliant. One of my all-time favourite shows.

That said, I wish they didn't call back to it so often. Even fan productions are mostly exact replicas of it. Would someone do TNG, at some point ? Or STO. That'd be nice.
