All of them. And thankfully, they've been a family affair. I'm a trekkie primarily because my folks were trekkies. My Dad bought Star Trek magazines for himself and his students, and he'd have them at the house. When the show would be on TV, I'd run to the living room and plant myself right in front to watch another adventure.
I can remember waiting in line for TMP at the Lakewood center north theater with my mom, at the tender age of four. We had to wait in one line to buy tickets for ourselves, then for my Dad for a later show he was taking his students to. I recall being scared when I saw the Klingons, in total awe when Kirk toured the Enterprise, and just enraptured by every FX shot in the film.
I remember waiting for TWOK with my parents at the same theater in a star fleet uniform my mom made for me. I recall hiding my eyes during the ceti eels and crying when Spock died. Later that year, when ET came out, I recall not being effected by ET's "death." I guess I had been there, done that and had cried all my tears for Spock.
TSFS, same theater. Shocked by David's death and the Enterprise's destruction. Wondering just what could the next film be with the crew stranded on Vulcan.
TVH, again, same theater, with my folks. No stand out memories for that one. I just recall being dissapointed in the music but loving everything else. TFF, same theater, with my folks, on the day of my junior high graduation. Raced from the ceremony to make the first show.
Before TUC came out, we went to a marathon screening of 1-5 in orange county. We stayed through 4, just to see the TUC trailer, then split before 5 started!
TUC, new theater, the Regency 8. Was first in line with my mom and some high school friends. My Dad raced from work on his lunch hour to make it, and got into the theater as the credits began to roll. My Dad and I were the first to start clapping at Gene's tribute.
GEN, midnight show at the Edwards Big Newport with college pals. FC, first show at Regency 8 with my folks. INS, at an old UA theater on PCH with my then girlfriend AND my Mom (GF and I had broken up prior, so I gave my mom her ticket. Then, that friday in class, we reconciled and she wanted to go. Wasn't about to tell my Mom to take a hike, thankfully they both got along great.) NEM - with work pals at Grauman's Chinese.
Finally, with JJ's Trek, I got my hands on tickets for the first show at the Arclight in hollywood. I had a bunch of tickets for the midnight show that a group of friends were going to. But, 2 weeks after buying those, Arclight opens up earlier shows. Work was nuts at the time, so I took a chance I'd be free to go. Thankfully, I was, and I was able to bring my folks up to Hollywood to continue the tradition. And we had a blast. My Mom cried during the opening and my Dad cheered when the Enterprise shot down Nero's missles.
