Because if you follow ANY of his posts, we exist to bounce story ideas off of, or fact-check the things he has already written. You'll rarely find one of his posts where it doesn't feel like we're doing his homework for him, honestly. Would be nice to mix in some regular old participation in with the writer's workshop...

Yeah, there was no question as soon as I saw the thread. I also like how he's so tight-lipped about details.

The real fun is trying to guess what obscure story question it's going to be, purely from the thread title.

A fast-food place a few miles away burned. 2 weeks later it was leveled. The next day construction started. It took about 2 months from destruction to opening. We were amazed it was done so fast.

This is pretty timely. Heh.

The McDonald's across from my office is closing tomorrow night, and will then be torn down and rebuilt. They plan to be open for The week of Thanksgiving. That's pretty quick.

They're doing the same to one near me. They've been at it for at least 6 months, and I don't think it'll be done until next month. Coincidentally, a restaurant right next door to it burned down several years ago. All that's left is the concrete foundation since nobody ever rebuilt on the lot.
