How long can you go without the Internet?

Probably forever. I was in my late 30's before it even existed. Having lived over half my life without it makes it easy to fall back on the old ways.
I was in my late thirties before I got on-line but I don't think I could do without for more than a couple of days.

Soon that won't be a problem though, I'm about to get my first smartphone :)
Well should the Internet go down, they say there's always some stored in California. :p
:rommie:

I'm like a hopeless drug addict when it comes to the internet. I'd say the longest I could go wothout would be 2 hours max.

Seriously, I didn't have any internet before I turned 14 in 1997, and although I use it a lot (obviously), I know I wouldn't freak out completely without it.

A month should not be a problem.

You know, I didn't have it until I was 11 or 12, but it feels like such a part of my life that it's hard to imagine how I lived without it.

To answer the question, I did a test once. The answer is four days. And, by the third day, I get very antsy and really "just want to check my e-mail." It's not pretty to find out what happens after day four.

From September 2009 to January 2010 I was without internet at home and without a smart phone I was pretty much netless other than for a week when I went back to my mom's place and an evening or two here and there when I was hanging at a friend's place and needed to kill a bit of time. I went weeks at a time and barely noticed it, but I also had a much more active social life to distract me.

Well, at the moment I need it for school and work, so there's no way to avoid it. Assuming that I didn't need to access the web for anything, I suspect I could go a week or two. If I'm on vacation and enjoying myself, I don't miss it. The internet really only comes in handy if you're bored, or in need of specific information that's difficult or inconvenient to access quickly.

Because i am oh-so-very-old i went almost half of my life before it was inwented by Russia.

I remember being afraid of the internet. Now, if i lose access for more than a day i get buggy.

BUT i can go a week without it if i am on vacation. Who cares about anything when they are on vacation?

I typically don't go online between 6AM and 4:15 PM and that's not a problem. Once I get home, though, the internet is my #1 source of entertainment. I could go a few days though, probably.

I like to think I can't go without the internet, but whenever I try to do something offline I can merrily leave it alone for days and can't be bothered logging in :/

I've only been online for a few years, so I can get by without going on an internet for quite a while - but only when I'm not at home. Here, I'm a terminal addict. When I visit family - usually for a week or more - I rarely bother, even though they have access.

I guess it depends what else I have going on, really.

Last year, when I didn't have the internet, I use to go into internet cafes to use it once or twice a week to use it for a hour or so, and then would use the library's internet, until I got my laptop. Now I'm online a lot.

So could I do it now? Probably not.
