How I Met Your Mother Finale: Who Will Die?

NO SPOILERS FOR THE FINALE PLEASE!!!

So, a few episodes ago, Ted teared up when Mother said what kind of mother would miss her daughter's wedding? This lead many of us to dread that Mother dies prematurely before Penny gets married.

Me, I vote for misdirection. They're trying to fool us. They're not gonna end on a downer.

The other dark horse choice is Mother is dying of cancer or some other disease, and they think she's going to die, but she ends up surviving.

So... vote who you think is going to die... not who you think should die.

Maybe Barney has a horrible accident where he loses his manhood, and spends the rest of his life having phantom pangs whenever he sees an attractive lady.

I have no idea. I do believe however that if the writers were to reveal that the Mother is dead by the time Ted is telling the story of the show to his kids, Bays and Thomas and their staff have demonstrably proven that they will still be able to give us a funny, phenomenal and heartfelt finale, complete with a final note of hope in the end.

We'll find out in two weeks!
