How do you tie your shoe-laces?

How do you tie your shoe-laces?

East Coast American - - one bunny method. I also tie them so the bunny ears lie perpendicular to the tongue of the shoe rather than obliquely.

Not one bunny I think. I get two loops that sit perfectly horizontally like a bow on the back of a little girl's dress. I was taught to do it that way from day one.

Two bunnies up. :bolian: :bolian:

Sometimes, a bunny gets a little loose and explodes, leaving just the one bunny.

I use the one loop method. It was kind of strange... I had no idea how I tied my shoes! I had to actually untie one of my shoes and retie it just so I could know what I was doing!

It's a common joke around my parts that people who tie the two bunny ear method are borderline retarded.

One severely retarded person I know can only do the other method. So, your common joke is, well, retarded.

You're all a bunch of dorks. Cool people like myself use velcro.

Velcro is the common reason why so few children can tie their laces! seriously. Though it works so it's fine till the day they are grown aduklts and for some reason have to wear shoes with laces - then they're screwed.

I really can't tell the difference between your choices. I'm trying to focus, but I have no clue. The pictures just made things more confusing.

I just tie my shoes. I once tried to think about what I was doing and I FORGOT how to tie my shoes. Only by closing my eyes and clearing my mind was I able to do it again.

So honestly, I really shouldn't be thinking about this at all.

Simply hilarious!

Can do both but usually do the two bunny ear as |I'm usually lecturing the many children whose shoes I'm tying. Ugh!

I crossover twice and pull the knot, then make one loop with my right hand, use the left hand to cross over with the other lace and then pull a loop back through under the original loop. I've seen people do it with the "two loops at a time" method and it just seems awkward to me. The way I do it lets you tie a show in about 3 seconds, it's almost like snapping my fingers, literally.

When I tie my shoes, I use the one loop method. But most of the time, I just pull my shoes off and jam my feet in. Of course, this only applies to my running shoes; when I wear any other type of footwear, I tie them after putting them on and untie them before taking them off.

And now I sound crazy...

If you are crazy so am I. I do the same thing.

When my oldest was in kindergarten I was so frustrated that I couldn't find a nursery rhyme or song to teach him. So I had to make one up myself, using the 2 bunny ears method. It's worked for all three of them.

I buy lace-less shoes, have for ten years, and I absolutely love it! When it's time to go you just slip it on and bam you're done. Unfortunately they're really hard to find, which boggles my mind because they're so much more comfortable than laced shoes.

Well I only have two pairs of shoes. One of them are sandals, the other is a more traditional pair of shoes but they're slip ons and don't have laces. It's been so long since I've tied shoe laces I don't even remember how I did it.

That's like me and ties. I wear them so rarely these days that when I do I really have to think about what I'm doing.
