How do you delete your entire browsing history?

not sure if this is the right forum to ask, but it seemed closest...

I wondered if it's possible to delete your entire internet browsing history from your computer. I don't mean just clicking on 'history' and right-clicking 'delete', but to erase it completely so it's gone forever. Is there a way?

thanks

^^ the "U" stands for unconditional format which made it (in those days) harder to recover any data from the formatted drive, and indeed, don't use that command, I assumed that anyone using a computer would at least know some of the basic commands a little and knew I was joking...

Simple fact: even if you did erase the browser history, it's probably too late...every page you visited, hell, every KEYSTROKE you made (and make) is probably logged by IT for your boss' review (should he choose to do so)...it's pretty common practice in the business world these days.
