How do I remove Facebook?

I don't really use it and don't want to bother with it anymore.

How do I just log off, delete it, and delete all Facebook cookies from my iMac and iPad?

I guess I mean uninstall Facebook and its cookies.

Last I looked Facebook is a website, not an app. So if you log out of Facebook (there is an option for this in one of the drop-down menus on the site), delete your profile, and clear the cache/cookies from your browser, that should be that. Clearing cookies and cache should be sufficient to log you off without having to go into Facebook to do so, though your account will still be active. (Don't forget to quit whatever browser you're using and restart; some lame browsers apparently require a full restart of the computer though I've yet to encounter this with Firefox or Safari and I don't remember having to do so in the dark days when I used Explorer).

Unfortunately at the rate they're going it's going to become mandatory to be signed into Facebook to even access the Internet. But for now that should work.

go to your facebook account settings, click on the security tab, and at the bottom click on deactivate account
then it'll show pictures of you and your friends to try and guilt you into staying

I'm not sure why this is posted here, instead of the tech forum, but you might want to check out this for one person's solution.
