How do I edit context menus?

I'd like to do it without resorting to downloading a third-party program.

I'm assuming there's a way to mod the registry, but I've never been to "that part of town" so to speak.

By hand, down and dirty inside the registry it's self, with out a program to do it for you.

You can actually create you're own using the advanced option under "Folder Options > File Type" if all you want to do is add a context menu item for a specific file type. I made one so that I can just right click on a JPG and open it in Photoshop.

Just click on "New", name the action whatever you want and select the program.

I think it depends on what software you want to change the context menu's of. And what those context menu's are.
