How did you save money while giving at Christmas this year?

With friends... secret santa... that way we only bought one gift. Well.. three as I was in three groups that did it.

We kept a low price limit which was to make things easier on the wallet but made it harder to buy something.

I didn't, to be honest.

While I didn't buy anything this year for my best friend and his family (he never came over to pick up their 2007 presents, so assuming he comes over some time soon, he'll get those for 2008 ), I made up for it by buying my boyfriend something really nice. All in all, I think I spent about $600-700.
