How close was Voyager to the BQ?

In Renaissance man(I believe) it's stated they have either entered the Beta Quadrant or will soon.

So in Endgame prior to Admiral Janeway's shenanigans how far had Voyager gotten to the DQ/BQ border?

How interesting would it have been if Voyager had reached the furthest reaches of the backside of The Dominion by the end of the series?

I actually watched renaissance man last night, the quote in question was referencing the Hierarchy claiming to actually be another species who controlled a vast amount of space, from Voyagers current position to the edge of the Beta Quadrant.

Still they ought to be getting close.

Sure they were, I think that line was more about establishing the size of the (non existent) aliens space, The R'Kall I think, and the hopelessness of Voyagers predicament.

Although by that time in the series it was acknowledged that Voyager had travelled in the region of 35,000 light years so logic dictates that they were indeed reasonably close to the Beta Quadrant.
