How City created the Abramverse

I 've got it!! Loved the movie and I have decided that City was the trip back in time which created the Abramverse.

What's the logic? The farther you go back, the more you need to do to change a Universe. Edith Keeler had to die - that was what the Guardian knew was needed to restore the universe Kirk et al lived in. That was done and the universe resumed it's course - sprung back into creation like a rubber band.

However, a real split came when the transient got vaporized with the phaser - but it was a tiny split - one that was barely noticeable. Like the butterfly wing hypothesis, this was enough to change small things, slow incremental changes that gradually created a different universe. That's why these guys knew who the romulans were, when Stiles didn't know what they looked like. It plugs all the diferent holes to see these as universes which separated earlier than Nero's visit but were still close enough for the visit to occur.

I love the movie - nuSpock was a bit less interesting than Prime for the Academy years, but he took on some good gravitas as the story continued. All the rest of the casting worked great for me. Enjoyed the story - great intro to this universe, and am looking forward to something just a bit more thoughtful/ substantive next time.

I have to admit - part of this comes from sitting in the theatre as a 54 yr old woman, remembering the passion that burned in me 41 years ago. Seeing how old Nimoy is makes me nostalgic, and oddly proud.
