How can I watch the series/season 6 "Christmas Carol" episode?

Howdy all,

We've been watching the re-launched Dr. Who on DVDs from Netflix, and loving it. We've just started series/season 6, but lo and behold Netflix does not (yet?) have the complete series 6 box set, so we missed the "Christmas Carol" special! Netflix doesn't list it as a separate disc, either!

What would be the best legal way for me to see this episode?

> I see that I can buy it & watch it online at Amazon for $1.99, which I'll do unless I can find another way. (The cheap price makes it a better option than buying the individual DVD or the complete series 6 boxset... I'd rather spend the money on Murray Gold's music (I have through series 4 & counting!)!)

> If Netflix eventually replaces the series 6 volume 1 & volume 2 with the complete box set, then the Christmas special will be a part of it, but I don't know how long that will be, if ever.

> I have only one friend who watches Dr. Who (at least that I know of), but he has been watching it from Netflix, so I can't borrow it from him.

Thanks for any advice or suggestions you can give! I never visit this forum to avoid spoilers!

Sorry, I'm a moron. Let me rephrase it:

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to legally watch the Dr. Who Christmas Carol special, other than to buy it for $1.99 on Amazon?

I'll pay the $2 if I have to, but I don't think I'll just watch it over and over. If there's some other legal way to watch it that everyone knows about, well, I don't know about it. In addition to being a moron, I only just got a smart phone for the first time 5 months ago, so I'm almost hopeless.

Thanks!

Sorry, but not at this time. There has been one christmas special aired since then ("The Doctor, The Widow, and the Wardrobe") as well.

Until Netflix and the BBC come to an arrangment that allows them to stream all of the season, instead of the season in parts, you will not be able to watch it streaming from there. It IS available as a DVD. If you do Netflix dvds, you can always put that disc in your queue.

Other than that, it's buy it from amazin or itunes.

It's pretty dumb because "The Doctor, The Widow, and the Wardrobe" is available on Netflix streaming. Right now, "A Christmas Carol" is the only nuWho episode not available.

Is the format the issue or the 2 dollars?

Because unless your local dvd rental store is run by moon faced assassins of joy, by now it would still only cost you 2 dollars to rent this Christmas Carol for a week from the local store and maybe even your local library.

Netflix doesn't have the individual DVD for the "Christmas Carol" episode. Right now they only have the series 6 volumes 1 & 2. "Christmas Carol" is in the complete box set.

Local libraries don't carry it, and the only local DVD rentals (other than Redbox) don't have it either. If I could get the DVD cheap, I'd watch it and donate it to a library; digital versions aren't very good for that. :)

Anyway, I'll probably just buy it from Amazon after we finish season 6, as we wait for the eventual season 7 release.

Thanks!
