I stay late at work anyway, so I'm watching it there as it comes out. Around 11 pm, I turn off most of the lights, make a cup of Earl Grey, grab leftovers for a late dinner, read these forums and the news until the episode starts. Then I eat and drink tea while I watch, which I kinda regretted this time
I pause it and rewind when there's something I missed, or something I wanna look at more closely. I jumped right to the end credits within the first minute to see who the actor was. I write down what I find noteworthy so I can post it here later. When the episode is over, I skip through it again to rewatch the best scenes. Then I spend hours and hours for half the week trying to keep up with posts here...

Screen size is funny. I did the math and the effective size of my PC's monitor -- meaning how much of my field of vision it takes up -- is the equivalent of having a 70 inch TV in my living room. The 70 inch TV, if I had one, would have more pixels, but at the greater distance, would I be able to tell?

That's precisely why I don't understand all these people who go to a big-screen theater and then sit all the way in the back XD

It's not that simple. The brain processes things that are further away as being larger than things that are closer. Also the closer the screen the more your eyes are straining to focus.

The most immersive way of watching the show would be on a very large projector screen sitting 20 feet away. Anything else is just a compromise.
