How about if we end the series with a cliffhanger

I'm gonna miss the feeling of anticipation that Lost is so good at delivering. I'm not sure I want all the major plot threads to be resolved by the end. Is there any chance we'll get a Lost movie?

I'm going to vote "no". I do want all of the major threads resolved by the series finale. Considering how much time they've spent treading water this season I'd say they have more than enough time to resolve everything and more in the remaining episodes.

That said, I'm not opposed to a 2 hour movie, though I seriously doubt they'll head that direction. I think it's far more likely we'd get a mini-series or spin-off seeing as Lost likes to tell it's stories over long arcs, not 2 hour movies.

i doubt we'll ever see either. I think Damon & Carlton are gonna be done with the series once it ends. So it most likely will not live on in any other media as well, except for maybe fanfiction, we'll see though. I personally would rather not see any major cliffhanger, some loose strings here and there fine, but cliffhanger, ehhh. Almost every episode feels like it ends on one anyways, it would be ironic if the last episode didn't. Plus with the name of the last episode, I really hope there is some finality to go along with that.

Not no but FUCK NO! Don't give them any ideas, JFC.

I have faithfully (and reasonably too!) watched since deciding, with it's third episode called "walkabout", to see if that new show called "Lost" about planecrash survivors on a tropical island could hold my interest longer than the obvious "Gilligand's Island" jokes coming to mind and I can safely say that, with the closing credits of the two hour finale, I will be happy to see it end just the way it is.

If there were even a hint of some ridiculousness such as: "THE END?", or someone we all saw die walking around smirking, or - God help us - in 2030 see "Lost: The Next Generation", I will lose all the respect I've given to episodic television in the last six years.

If it ends on a cliffhanger, somebody gets punched in the nuts.

That would be the audience. :rommie:

Jack and Kate are on a small boat just off the island. Jack pulls out a ring and proposes. Suddenly ALIENS swoop down from the sky and VAPORIZE them! Hurley yells, "NOOOOOOO!!!!"

The end.

Who's going to continually watch a mystery that never gets solved? This is why the show ended up getting an expiration date to begin with. To not solve things, with reason, would be like watching a sporting event, where both teams just keep scoring, & then when we all get tired, we stop, & just come back later & keep scoring again. Their must be a winner, & it must be me

I'm not sure I want there to be a LOST movie.

I'll feel uncomfortable about going as a group, like something will happen to us on the way there and we'll never make it, and the people in the back seat will be people I can't trust or get along with...

And nobody better have a box in the trunk with their dead gerbil inside.

But don't forget the words "To Be Continued" on the screen at fade-to-black.

Hmmm....

Who'd be left that's female and could end up with cat's eyes? :p

Ugh...no.

If they go that route, I suspect there really will be an Incident as fan rage manifests. Look for the sky to turn purple and the internet to collapse as message boards are flooded.

Oh, come on, no one would ever do something like that.

Edit:

Course, that ending would only work if people actually liked Kate and Jack. I think given how most people don't care for those characters that there'd be a lot of cheering if they appeared to bite it to end the show.

Desmond and Penny then. Hah! Or are they already married? Well it doesn't matter, that's gonna be the way it ends anyway.

Actually, it should end with Desmond and Penny waking up in bed together and Desmond telling Penny he just had the strangest dream....(ducks!)

Or, if they want to go risque, Jacob and MIB wake up in bed together...
