I totally thought the patient was Tim Roth but he's Jake Weber.

They even did a Hulk reference and I thought it was Roth

Yeah, I recognized Weber as "that guy from Dawn of the Dead".

The final scene of the episode made me think of the line from the rolling stones song "You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you get what you need"

Hmmmm, she has to live with him for 6 months. Just enough time for the final episode. I think House is gonna die at the hands of a jealous Ukrainian ex-boyfriend.

I recognized Weber from the 1995 series American Gothic. At least I recognized his name; I wouldn't have recognized him by face alone. (I recognized the INS guy too, but I couldn't place him. I think maybe I just saw him in Person of Interest last week, come to think of it.)

I found the patient-of-the-week plot rather silly, the heavy-handed and simplistic portrayal of personality as a slave to hormone levels, and the naive assumption that our cultural assumptions and expectations about male behavior are an evolutionary imperative.

As for the rest, the show keeps getting more sitcommy. But Ukrainian Girl is nice to look at, and it's interesting to see House maybe actually being emotionally affected by having her around. And I did like how Taub handled the competition, staying above the fray.

I recognized Weber as the guy from The Mind of the Married Man.

I also totally forgot that House was married.

That stuck out for me as well.

Pity that we have to put up with the Ukrainian till the series end. That's a few episodes burned on the pointless complexities of two people living together. More of that music and dancing.

I don't care for the music, but I agree with House that the dancing is very nice to watch. And it's not pointless if it lets them explore a new side of House.

Considering the kind of relationships House has had so far I doubt it is going to show something deep or a relationship that will "change" House. Huddy I was interested to see as it had been building on years of tension. That other chick from season 1 and 2 also had history with House been his ex gf and all. But I find myself least excited about what new side of House we will see with fake Ukrainian wife... Unless he gets her preggers.

I also don't believe that House of all people would fall for her lie that she loved him. This used to be the guy who saw through stuff like that.

I just wonder is this the best arc they can do for wrapping up House? Is this the most interesting relationship or character they could have brought back/created?

Maybe he's changing. Maybe after being with Cuddy and then going through a breakup that ended with House in jail for over a year, he's been humbled and forced to recognize how lonely and pathetic he is -- indeed, he pretty much said outright to Chase last week that he recognizes that he made a stupid decision that ruined his life, which suggests that he wants to change and doesn't want to be so alone anymore. I doubt he actually believed her words, but maybe on some level he was wondering if there was a chance they were true, or at least thinking about what it might mean to him if someone actually loved him.
