House returns from its (extended) Winter Hiatus this Monday night.

From TV.com:

House and his team treat an Alzheimer's patient undergoing therapy that sends him into violent rages. Meanwhile, Wilson copes with a patient who claims that there is no sexual relationship in his marriage.

House Medical Reviews

That was a pretty solid episode. Two couples, one where the wife wants to leave because she can't cope with her husband's problem and another where the wife stays and copes with hers. Both cases were good, but I enjoyed the sexless marriage issue the most, and how House took the initiative to solve the case. So much for bringing misery to everyone he meets. I wish I could see the look on the guy's face once he's cured and finally gets it on with that hot wife of his.

Loved seeing Rose from Two and a Half Men, by the way.

thought this was a good ep. House screwing with Foreman felt like the good old days of the show.

I was disappointed with the asexual couple storyline. Being asexual myself, I was initially pleased to see an actual portrayal of asexuals on House. But instead of an ending that accepts that that's just how some people are, they had to make him sick and her a liar.

Thought it was pretty good, and yeah, reminded me of the old days, the Foreman stuff and the Wilson-banter...
Though I too would have liked them really be an asexual couple, something that's almost completely ignored in the media (when it's not treated as a joke atleast *cough*SheldonCooper*cough*).

"With great powers comes great micromanaging."

Good episode with some fun old-fashion fucking with Foreman and banter with Wilson. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the first time we've heard that Chase has a sister, right? Interesting development and I hope we see more of it in the future.

I've known a lot of people who claimed to be asexual over the last decade or so, but not one of them has remained that way. Several were closet cases, one had been raped as a child and another just decided at some point to ignore romance or sexuality for the pursuit of wealth and success.

I'm not saying you're a liar, but from my experience most people who claim to be asexual are. It is an easy escape from having to face sexual issues. It made more sense to me that this be more of that than an actual asexual person which is far more rare.

Also, good episode.

I'm a 53-year-old male virgin, so a lot more than a decade, no abuse as a child, no more interest in sex with men than with women, and I've tried dating and romance, I just didn't want the sex part. I had one long-term girlfriend who I lived with and shared a bed with, I loved her and enjoyed cuddling with her, but I was never interested in that becoming sex.

The website for AVEN (Asexuality Visibility and Education Network) was a revelation for me, a "Yes, THAT'S what I am!" feeling. Certainly a lot more so than the kinds of things you brought up.

Well, whether it's a biological thing or a "lifestyle choice," there's certainly plenty of precedent for people choosing to live without sex -- priests, nuns, monks, ascetics, etc. If people want to live that way, that's their free choice and a free society should respect that choice even if the majority disagrees with it. So debating where it comes from is kind of academic, I think.

I echo the comments, it's like old days and House Vs Foreman. Everyone is onto House at this stage. He loses more battles than he wins (except against Wilson).

So if Hugh Laurie won't be doing anymore House are they going to give us any arc to end the series with or is it all going to hang on the final episode?

Anyone know what House is wearing on his wrist? Looks like some cheap Buddhist beads or something.
