interesting medial mystery, and i too liked that the brother stood up and made the right decision, touching episode, i almost got teary eyed to be honest, what a sad thing really

Oh, I got teary eyed at the end - no almost there. :rommie:

But I think there's no right or wrong in the decision of the brother - it was perhaps the most sensible of all bad options...

Yeah, this one did have a touch of that good old style, but I found the relationship stuff pretty icky.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned that the mom of the POTW ("Claire") was played by Stephanie Courtney who, despite many film, TV & stage credits, is probably best known as "Flo" from the Progressive Insurance commercials. Wish she'd had more to do...

Did not even recognize her.
I thought I recognized her.

I found this to be a bit Old school House too. Loved the scene where Cuddy put her hand on his crotch to prove to Wilson they were having a relationship. Fun to watch however I am curious to see where they take this since they did the "how do House and Cuddy work together as a couple?" episode and seemed to have wrapped up that question a bit soon.

:cardie:

She WAS?

Yup. Agreed on the "old school."

The scene had in Wilson's office had me in stitches. I was watching it while eating and just made a mess of everything.

Ditto!! It was excellent, and both Edelstein and Laurie delivered it perfectly. And Leonard was appropriately flummoxed.

A thoroughly excellent episode, one that I enjoyed more than I expected to. I think folks here have crystalized why. It felt just like earlier season.
