New episode tonight!

From TV.com:

An organ donor's organs are responsible for the deaths of several patients, and the team work to save the last two recipients. Meanwhile, House hires a private detective to keep tabs on his team as well as Wilson.

I suppose that it's merely speculation at best, but what drives House so much in his actions towards Wilson? Is he really concerned about Wilson, or is it more a self-centered motivation?

I figured its kinda like Hawkeye when he has one of his obsessive fixes on M*A*S*H time to time.

I'd say a little from column A and a little from cloumn B.

I agree with both of those. The Hawkeye analogy especially comes to mind with Hawkeye's obsession in getting B.J. to say goodbye in "Goodbye, Farewell, & Amen."

It seems to me that they are playing house as a hard core socio-path this season. He only seems to care about himself...Prick:alienblush:

Hasn't he pretty much ALWAYS been like that?

Yup...just sometimes a bit more likable than at other times. This season the pendulum seems to be swinging in the "unlikeable" direction.

House is a great big douchebag. The writers have never really strayed from that, much to my amazement.

House proves that watching someone being a douchebag is fun as long as they are saving lives and helping people by beaing good at their job.

House the Systems DBA would probably not work as well ratings wise.

Well, it's also the way he's portrayed by Laurie who I think manages to give House an ounce or two of humanity and humility "beneath the surface" and the way he is written to in that his db'ery usually flows from an ounce or two of truth between the lines.

He doesn't call someone an idiot or call them out on something senseless or not true, he usually calls them on something that IS true in the harshest way possible.

House is the single best series on television, IMHO. There's no show I enjoy more. I have been eagerly waiting to see how the rift between House and Wilson plays out.

At first I was going to describe it as "the House/Wilson situation," but I decided, keeping in mind where I am, not to go there.

House and Wilsons friendship closely mirrors the friendship of me and my best friend, he's a hardcore chrstian, and i'm the anti-christ

Interesting camerawork on that opening vignette with the tennis players. I enjoyed the way the ball would just fire right at you.

And the hallucination with the corneal transplant patient ..... excellent! :techman:
