Hot Wheels Reliant Model

USS KG5

Vice Admiral
Admiral
Hi All,

Just a quick query - here in the UK the new Hot Wheels USS Reliant model is coming out in a few weeks, I'm interested to know what it is like first.

Mostly I want to know how big it is, I have the three Corgi models from a couple of years back (the 1701, 1701-D, BOP) but have only an old Micro Machines Reliant!

If this is roughly the same size as the Corgi models (around 7" long) I might punt for it at the current £17.99 but are these new models somewhat smaller? I heard under 4"?

Most sites are quoting a 1:50 scale which is nonsense, so I'd appreciate some input.

TRUST ME you don't want it!:vulcan: the details are not painted, the die-cast saucer (the ONLY part that's die-cast mind you) looks like it was spray painted with a heavy impact fire hose, there was paint chiping on the saucer & the plastic bits (Nacelles & rollbar) are as limp Angel hair pasta!:wtf: BUT if all that dosen't change your mind about them, the relaint is 6-inch's long $14.95 & they are not on card backs like the smaller hot wheels, they are in a box. Hope that helps.

Thanks very much for the info, I have already bought a new model of the nu-Enterprise this month which is a lot of fun, and much bigger, so I will probably pass based on your comments.

To be honest, if you want ships, stick with the furuta ones. I know they arent metal, but they are quite big and cheap!
