Horror Movies in October

Since its the month of Halloween starting tomorrow, I'm curious if anyone else is making specific plans to watch some horror movies this month? Any favorites you always watch, marathons you might be doing, etc? Last year, my brother and I did one horror movie a day, with a mix of stuff we'd never seen with a few old favorites. It was really fun, so we're planning to do it again this year, except with only two returning favorites and the rest movies we've never seen. I've randomized the list, so this is what I'm planning to watch with my brother in October, in order

  1. Starry Eyes and Tucker & Dale vs. Evil
  2. Carrie (1976)
  3. Cemetery Man
  4. Hellroller
  5. Alice Sweet Alice
  6. The Fly II
  7. Lifeforce
  8. Jason X
  9. Demons (1985)
  10. The Wicker Man (2006)
  11. From Beyond the Grave
  12. Inside
  13. The Children
  14. Cold Prey
  15. Tales from the Crypt (1972)
  16. The Wicker Man (1973)
  17. Zombie (aka Zombie 2)
  18. The House of the Devil
  19. Slices of Life
  20. Corpse Party (Technically a 4 part anime OVA, but its two hours so its not a waste of a spot)
  21. I Saw the Devil
  22. Creep
  23. The Rage: Carrie 2
  24. She Creature
  25. The Devil's Backbone
  26. Son of Frankenstein (1939)
  27. Beyond the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon
  28. The Conjuring
  29. The Dead Zone
  30. Martyrs
  31. Trick R' Treat (Halloween)
I used an online order randomizer, although I did specifically put Trick R' Treat on Halloween, since its appropriate and its one of the two returning favorites. Tucker & Dale is the other returning favorite, and I'm putting it at day one so I can start the month off with a new movie (Starry Eyes) and an old favorite, plus that way I'll still have watched 31 official movies, since Corpse Party was an addition my brother wanted and is not technically a movie.

So, anyone else doing horror movie related stuff in October?

Not particularly, but since '70s horror seems scarier to me in many ways, I recommend numbers 5 and 16 for those short in time.:borg:

Just to be clear, i was just posting my list to show what I was watching, not to recommend any of the movies to anyone, especially since i haven't seen most of them and have no idea of the quality (although the two I have seen, Tucker & Dale vs Evil and Trick R' Treat, were both very entertaining, and I'd recommend them).

For anyone in the state of Ohio, I'm driving down to Columbus for this year's 24-hour horror movie marathon. Noon October 17 to noon October 18. It's an absolute blast, as they don't just show movies, they load it up with trailers and tons of other fun things too. If you're within driving distance of it, and a fan of movies, it's totally worth your time, and you're very likely to walk out of there looking forward to coming back next year.
