Homage to the Jem'Hadar

When Holo-Janeway ripped the blue-goo tube from the Diviner, I instantly jumped all the way back to DS9. The Jem'Hadar were dependent on Ketracel white to stay alive and it was introduced through a tube inserted near their necks. I can't believe that was just a coincidence. Did anyone else make that connection?
NOTE: I don't intend to imply any direct relationship between the two, just another historical Easter Egg from the excellent writers.

Well, the Vau'k'Nat seem to be a rather isolated species. The Diviner described Starfleet/UFP as their First Contact... so, I'd hazzard a guess there is no direct connection.

It seems to be an issue with the elderly Vau'k'Nat.. or it could just be Diviner specific medical problem that ended up progressing over time which necessitated putting him into a water tank, and then having specialized liquid being pumped into his body for maintenance via the suit in order to be mobile.

It might be due to his time traveling.
Perhaps the process used results in deterioration of the body.
Would explain why he only has a robot for company and why he needed to clone Gwyn.

Interesting that one should mention the Jem'Hadar...

Because THEY would be the type who would leave a wounded and dying Diviner behind on the ruins of Tars Lamora, without shelter, food or water - or even the suit he needs to survive.

I hadn't thought the KIDS capable of such bloodlust, but the Jem'Hadar? That's totally within their wheelhouse.
