Im a big fan of TOS. My favorite is MR SPOCK!

I got done watching Enterprise i like it but there other trek shows i just dont get and dont like like deep space 9 for example. The 60s Trek was good and some of the ideas from that show have already been invented. But in still waiting for 3 inventions. 1. Warp Speed. 2. Transporter room. and 3. High advanced medical equipment. Like Curing illnesses and Blindness and deafness

The transporter is a great dream, but was only 'invented' for the show in order to get the characters to and from the ship without showing a shuttle taking off all the time.
The TV show Enterprise did it better by using the shuttle since it was easier to do with moden effects.

Hi Steve. I wouldn't hold your breath for transporter tech, although it would be cool. Like NP said, it was a concept thought up for TOS as a quick and easy way for the crew to get to the planet of the week.

Now FTL travel may someday be achieved. I just highly doubt it will be in our life time. Medical advances, however, are coming in leaps and bounds. It's hard to say how far things will advance in the next couple hundred years.

Hi and welcome. I know here while back on the Science Chanel(formaly known as Discovery Science Chanel) there is a show thats on every week that talks about technolgy. Here a few weeks ago they were talking about how to create warp speed, and if it could be possiable. They were doing all kinds of tests on comptuer and so on, and iscussing the warp speed. With thier simlations on comptuer and other tests they did they ran into problems that could happen. So though it may not be possable now,it could be sometime in the future. Also on that same show on the week after that they were talking about 'How to Telaport" which would be the same as transport, but I missed that one. But if they have that on again I'm thinking about watching as Im curious how and if transport can be possable. If I catch the name of that show I'll let you know about.

And another thing has been invented from trek. "Cloaking" Its when a Ship dissapears and you dont see it. Ever heard of Stealth Bomber?

It cant be dectected on radar. Just like the Klingons cloaked their ships and you dont know where they are.

Welcome! I have to second the calls for medical devices that can not only diagnosis the problem but can fix them with something you can hold in your hand without invasive procedures. That would be so great. Imagine the suffering it would end. But then again, it might open up a can of worms that we can't foresee. Still, it owuld be nice

Sometimes I'll get a weird pain in my leg or whatever and the biggest thing I have is not that it hurts, but that I don't know what happened. The pain later goes away, which is good, but I just plain didn't know what was wrong.

What I would want is the replicator's ability to create fattening food with hardly any calories...Oh my. I would eat SO much cheesecake.

I think Troi mentioned it when showing someone, possibly an ambassador, the replicator technology.

I think I'll watch TNG again, after finishing VOY.

Once when Marina was a guest at our local Creation convention in Tucson, she took my audience question; and I actually asked her about that episode, where Troi gets peeved at the computer trying to avoid giving her real chocolate ice cream with real whipped cream ("The Price"). Marina said her own regimen involved some kind of an exercise bed and Jenny Craig.
