Right now I'm a bit torn between average and above average. All in all, not bad -- the episode sets up some interesting things for the future, mostly with Noah and what his agenda is. It was, however, a tad predictable. I'll get into more details later.

I figured we'd get a flashback episode sooner or later to explain things (or rather, half a flashback episode, as this turned out to be), and in that respect, it did help fill in a few of the blanks, at least as far as Noah's involvement in Nathan's plan goes.

After their embarrassing sub-plot last week, I thought it was nice to have a break from Hiro and Ando. Hopefully next time they appear it won't be to stop another marriage in India. No Claire or Tracy this week either, or Sylar and his teen sidekick.

Like I said, I'll give more comments later, but if anyone wants to know
Daphne is alive. I never really thought she was dead, though, so that didn't come as much of a shock.

I need my memory jogged a bit, when did Nathan almost kill Peter(before he & Noah decided to work together)?
also Mohinder- hypocrite much?

I've had it with every so-called "Hero" giving Nathan a free pass by NOT revealing his secret. Despite the fact that it would destroy his credibility with the government. I guess they enjoy being hunted after all.

I'm going to give this one an Above Average. It was a pretty good episode and HRG came through once again. Free of the Claire drama, he's got a good storyline going. Liked the used of the black-and-white. The Hunter is getting more character development as well. Once again, when there are less storylines in an episode, the quality of the show picks up.

But I've had it with the fact that the "heroes" haven't revealed Nathan's powers to the government. At the very least, it would cause the Hunter to be very paranoid about him and at best it would destroy Nathan's credibility with the government. I guess these morons with powers (the accurate description of the heroes) enjoy being hunted after all. Don't tell me it's because Nathan is keeping all the hardliners in the government in check. He's the reason they're being hunted down in the first place.

Can we officially classify Peter, Parkman, and Mohinder to be The Three Stooges? If those clowns shared even half a brain, they would be so dangerous....

Better than the last two episodes slightly mainly due to two above average moments--Noah/Angela at the end and Matt painting himself as a bomber(although giving him Isaac's ability along with his own is a bit ridiculous)and the destruction of NY replaced by DC--whether these go anywhere interesting I'm not sure since the show has shown that it can mishandle or drop certain things altogether. We'll see

I did appreciate that the episode acknowledged Nathan not thinking his actions all the way through and rushing in ill prepared with what he was about to do.

The weekly cat and mouse between the government forces and those with abilities where they engage and then escape will get old awfully quick with its repetitive nature unless the writers don't start moving the story along in more interesting directions. I mean it looked like something interesting might be brewing with Peter at the apartment instead he flies right back out the way and everything is back to the way it was before.

The episode wanted to be about revelations regarding Nathan's plot unfortunately it wasn't really new insight given that since the start of this volume no effort was made to make it a mystery as to who was behind it and who the various players were. So essentially it was there to catch up Peter, Matt and Suresh. That's not to say that seeing characters' reactions and comparing their notes even when we already are aware of what they know can't be interesting. Afterall, you just have to look back over season one and see the numerous moments where the characters met up and shared what they knew such as in "Company Man".

The flair-up between Matt and Suresh wasn't very convincing. I think part of that had to do with the fact that Matt isn't very believable as this rage-filled guy determined to make the government and those involved suffer for what happened to Daphne.

And the scenes at Building 26 have yet to be tension-filled. The show needs interesting revelations, some interesting story arcs, some suspense, raising the stakes and shaking up the status quo. There might be some hope with the revelation at the end where it seems Noah and Angela are working together to stop Nathan but Heroes has introduced these seemingly interesting threads and they aren't executed very well. We'll see. In fact, the two best scenes were involving Angela--no surprise there.

Nathan is coming off as an annoying fool with his constant whispering and cluelessness. I can't take him as a threat just an idiot with too much power and influence--which I guess you have to give the writers credit for since that has always been my view on most politicians anyway--so consider it honest writing.

Average.

I'm not really able to take Nathan seriously as the Big Bad of Volume 4, unless it's really the Hunter or someone else entirely. He needs to become more adamant in his beliefs and stances and not pussyfoot around so much.

I was half-expecting Noah's memory of the weapons locker to be a fake memory designed to trap telepaths with the place really being some operations base for the Hunter's agents and Peter walking right into 20 guns aimed at his head.

I think the Heroes haven't outed Nathan yet because their status as Fugitives would make it impossible for the government to believe them. Also now that they know about the Hunter and have an inkling of what he's like, they'll be less likely to out Nathan as he's the lesser of two evils and they may need him at his high rank to keep it from getting worse.

And the retreads continue and continue......

Yes they do.

Great, we have another exploding man except this time he's not using a power, he's blowing himself up like a suicide bomber.

This episode was decidedly Average. It had a couple of interesting parts but was mostly boring.

Underwhelming. Barely average. Fugitives or not, they should all be screaming to every soldier that points a gun at them that Nathan can fly. He's Peter's biological brother. Someone would look crosseyed at Nathan, especially the hunter dude. It makes zero sense that none of them would even try to out Nathan. An absence of Claire is always welcome.

I decided to go with Average. Despite some weak moments in the script, I thought that the episode at least looked pretty good, so I'll give the director points for that.

As I said, this episode mainly made me curious as to what will come of certain things, notably Noah's true intentions. And he seems to be in cahoots with Angela! What sort of plot are these two morally ambiguous individuals concocting? We'll have to wait and see. Oh, and after that "How did you get here so quickly?" comment, I think the Hunter is (finally) starting to get suspicious of Nathan's true nature.

Beyond that, no real surprises. Peter escaping the storage room, not killing the Hunter, Daphne being alive, etc. ... all expected. Not the foundation of good drama -- the writers need to do something awesome and shocking (but not out of character for anyone, I repeat, not out of character for anyone... please).

The tussle between Mohinder and Matt seemed a little forced, as did the revelation that Mohinder knew something was up before it happened (on the other had, stupidity and ignoring the obvious is decidedly in-character behaviour for Mohinder as of late).

I'm still not wild about Matt having Isaac's powers, and now another prophetic painting of a disastrous explosion has been introduced? Come on, we've seen this before.

The episode kept my interest, but I just can't ignore all these avoidable traps the writers keep falling into. I'm intrigued enough to want to find out what it will all lead to, but I can't help but fear I will be disappointed in the end result.

Can we officially classify Peter, Parkman, and Mohinder to be The Three Stooges? If those clowns shared even half a brain, they would be so dangerous....

The low point I think, was Parkman and Mohinder fighting it out and letting HRG get away.

It was almost like those two were just two guys that kidnapped a very important person. Henchmen fighting it out.

But I've had it with the fact that the "heroes" haven't revealed Nathan's powers to the government. At the very least, it would cause the Hunter to be very paranoid about him and at best it would destroy Nathan's credibility with the government.
You don't think the Hunter already knows Nathan is special. If he hasn't he's as dumb as a box of rocks. I mean Nathan's brother and his daughter are special so anyone with half a brain would realize he is special too.
