Hope you don't have hentai in new zealand!http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-04-30/three-hentai-manga-cases-go-to-trial-in-new-zealand I have never seen hentai (nor do I care to) but the only thing that bothers me about this is that if this comes to the states! sure everybody is going to approve of baning this stuff, but then whats next? Violence? I've got some rather violent comics in my possesion, who's to say that won't be next? (WATCHMEN, MIRACLEMAN, JUDGE DREDD, FRANK MILLER'S ROBOCOP, ETC)

^"If?" There's already plenty of hentai available in the US, in manga and anime form. We have this handy little thing called the First Amendment. So long as erotica doesn't depict minors and isn't sold to minors, it's legal. (Of course, I imagine the former would rule out a lot of hentai. But not all of it.)

The nice thing about the states is the First Amendent, because it will require whatever legislator might propose such a law to define what is meant by obscene. I have seen hentai anime, and most of what is depicted is already covered by existing pornography laws and the companies that distribute such anime here make sure that they adhere to them...for the most part.

I didn't mean the ''hentai'' I know that's been in the states for decades! I meant the possible court cases & show trials!

^I don't think we're likely to see such things in the US for a while, not as a nationwide cause celebre, anyway. The age of the right-wing culture wars is waning for now.

Won't someone protect the ink?

Just doesn't have the same impact. I don't see why anything can't be portrayed in freakin' drawings. Yeah, I know some things are questionable, objectionable, sick or whatever but I really don't care to have someone judging what that is for everybody.

Won't happen, but if it did mine is mostly safe. I don't like any of the weird stuff so what I own is pretty tame. I've seen some sh** I wouldn't mind them banning though. :shifty:

That's all the animated kind though. I never really bothered with H manga though other than Futari Echi.
