I saw an episode of a sci-fi show on ITV 4 in the UK about two years ago and it's been driving me crazy ever since. I remember there is a baby who may be a human/alien hybrid who then undergoes rapid aging with an on-looker in the lab going "Oh my God!" before he reveals himself as a man. He has some kind of purpose which seems is going to be pivotal to the plot of the series.
His mother does not know of his existence and if she did would die due to the resurfacing of the memories. The last thing I remember is the mother suffering a nose bleed as she is reminded of her child, but cannot figure out what she's feeling or why.
I hope that description is okay and I could add more detail if it helps. I think the series had Majel Barrett in it, which would point to Earth: Final Conflict but none of the episode descriptors mention the plot above. It would be great to know what this episode is called as well.
