Help: Star Trek Q Fan Collective DVD set

Reeborg

Red Shirt
Can anybody tell me what are the language options on the American (region 1) DVD set "Star Trek Q Fan Collective"? I am especially interested to know, if there are audio tracks for Spanish and Portuguese at least for certain episodes (I am the most interested in TNG) available. In others of these collectives the audio options written on the package (exterior) don't necessarily correspond to the content. That's is why I am adressing myself to those that have purchased the collective and could check directly on the discs for the (TNG) episodes. .

Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks for your contribution. These aren't the answers I am looking for, though. ;)

Didn't the Q fan collective make any money at all in North America????

The "Fan Collective" sets, unless they had significant additional material (such as did the "Captains Collective") weren't of interest to people who'd already bought the season sets. More likely they sold to people with a more casual interest in TNG. Those fans are least likely to frequent TrekBBS.

Per Amazon.com, they are English-only both in audio and subtitles.

Thanks for your good intentions. However, Amazon is very unreliable regarding the descriptions on audio and subtitles, unfortunately. For instance, for the "Alternate realities" edition they say English audio only while the set has 100% Spanish and 80% Portugues audio too. Similar errors for the "Captain's Log" edition. :wtf:

Let me google that for you, then.

Languages and Audio
As usual, audio choices are English Dolby 5.1 Surround and 2.0 with subtitles in English. With the exception of environmental ambiance and the occasional starship flyby, the Star Trek DVDs have never been showcases of the audio potential of the 5.1 format. The soundstage remains mostly up front with respectable mix quality, free of offensive hiss or distortion.

Thanks for this. However, the language description for the sets "Alternate Realities" and "Captain's log" are wrong on this site, so the one you copied might be incorrect as well. That is why I am addressing people that own the specific collective and could directly verify.

Anyway, thanks again. Nobody here seems to have bought the "Q Fan collective", unfortunately.

Then how bout you go to your local Wal-Mart or Best Buy, pick up the package, look on the back, and find out for yourself? If you don't have one that is local, how bout you go to Amazon.com, click on the "contact us" link and send them an email asking them to have someone look at the back of the package to confirm what's there?
