As an American who has lived all over Europe I applaud your plans! The past 5 years in the UK have been my personal favorite. I have only visited France, but have lived in Turkey, Italy, and Germany before here. History is everywhere in Europe. REAL history. I have lived in houses older than the USA. Oh and the cheese is to die for! The cheese is enough reason to move!

That's one of my biggest personal draws. I went to Musée de Cluny. Just walked around and was able to touch artifacts thousands of years old (if I wanted to, there was nothing stopping me) in a building that's hundreds of years older than anything in the US.

Here if something hits 100 years they rope it off and charge admission.
