I'm trying to locate a copy of Metel a Soviet movie known in English as Snowstorm or The Blizzard. It was released in 1964, and it was a Finnish release outside of Russia.
I had some downtime at work this week and was listening to some CDs. The US Air Force Band did a recording of a suite of music from the movie ... the US Service Bands love to play European and Russian music ... and the music really caught me as interesting and exciting.
I can actually obtain a transcription of this suite that looks like a medium difficulty piece for high school band. Being able to see the movie might help aid my study should I purchase this piece.
