Hellboy Animated: Storm of Swords and Blood & Iron

Anybody else here a fan of these? They are two animated movies featuring the cast of the Guillermo Del Toro Hellboy movies that came out between them. I watched them back when they first came out and I've been wanting to see them again, so I grabbed the two DVD set when I saw it for only $5 at Wal-Mart the other day.
I watched the first one, Sword of Storms, this morning and I really enjoyed it. In it a couple of Japanese demons who have been trapped in a sword for centuries possess a folklore professor and transport Hellboy to a mythological world in an attempt to free themselves. The stuff with Hellboy in the mythological world was pretty cool, with some nice action and cool monsters. The stuff on Earth was bit more grounded, but it gave us some good stuff Abe and Liz, and the new addition of Kate Corrigan. I'm a big Frasier fan, so I especially got a kick out of the fact that Kate was voiced by Roz actress Peri Gilpin.

God, I've seen them years ago..... Once. I don't think I was that impressed by them at the time. Might have to look over the dvd-collection. The ex might have taken them in the break-up, she's a big Hellboy fan.

Pity Doug Jones took over his voice role from David Hyde Pierce or you could have had a mini reunion. ;)

I have them both on DVd, and they're pretty good. Not as good as the two live action films, but they're fun and the cast is really good.

I watched 'em when they were first released, thought they were alright at the time, but I haven't seen 'em in years.

I watched Blood & Iron this morning, and I enjoyed it even more than Sword of Storms. The connections to Broom's past made the story more interesting, and I liked that we actually got the whole team together a lot more. Erzabet, the Harpies and Hecate were more interesting villains than the demon brothers in Sword of Storms.
