They Mayans were right... The end is coming... Rush is finally up for nomination into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

    Rolling Stone Article

This time around, the general public can weigh in on who should be inducted. There's a link in the article. Rush is pulling a LOT of votes.

At this point, with all the crappy non-rock oriented performers and acts in the Hall of Fame, it's almost an honor NOT to be nominated, but if anyone deserves to be in there, it's Rush...

I'd like to see Deep Purple get in as well. The RRHF doesn't have a lot of credibility, though, considering how many deserving artists aren't in it.

I need to take a break from the computer here.... when I read the original post, I was trying to figure out why Rush Limbaugh would be considered for induction into the RRHF. It has been a LONG day!....

I saw an article about it earlier this morning, and literally rubbed my eyes because it seemed too incredible. Still, I'm rather ambivalent about it all now. Sure, if this means something to The Boys, then I am glad they get the recognition. They are still my favorite band with or without induction to the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame.

Still find it more than difficult to believe that Deep Purple and Heart aren't in the Hall.

Considering some of the groups that are in the HoF, that wouldn't be too much of a stretch.

I liked his earlier stuff, but he went too mainstream/commercial later on.

    :p
