Heineken Cup/Gunniess premiership

Well there's no other thread on the greatest comptition in club rugby!

So Thought I'd start one before the mighty Bath take on Toulouse today!

It's a winner takes all game, and if Bath win, it'll be the first time no french club has got to the quarter finals!

It would be nice to have an English Club win it, what are your thoughts on the 6 nations this year?

Bath fan here as well!! Who would have thought that two of the most exciting teams in Europe could scrap in the hale to a 3-3 draw!!

6 Nations:

Wales aren't as good as people think they are and could struggle a bit. Probably win 3.

Scotland are improving and could surprise a few (incl Wales in the opening game)

Ireland could go either way. They've got some very talented players coming in (O'Leary and Ferris)

France will struggle. French teams in the HC not doing well, and Lievrement's policy of chopping and changing teams every week simply doesn't work when you're starting fresh.

Italy need a 10. Their forwards are a match for anyone and in Parrise they have the world's best number 8.

England will surprise a few. Not as bad as people are predicting. We're rebuilding and should be given time for things to click but on our day can beat any of the other 5 nations. Very excited to see how both Armitage's get on + Care/Cipriani.

(PS: great to see a rugby topic on here, I've been meaning to start one for months!)

Great game Bath Toulouse, I was soaked there though.

I'm thinking it'll be a close year, I think England are not in a good way, but then neither are france and ireland.

I dread how Wales will do (mainly due to my welsh girlfriend) I think they'll win, but I'm not seeing a grandslam.

Italy are improving, I'm hoping for two wins from them this time.

Scotland, not sure, I'm not hoping for too much though.

As for the heineken cup, against Leicester again! Who'd have thought

Not sure what our boys were celebrating at the end of the Toulouse game, I get the feeling they assumed that they'd get a home quarter final! Oh well, we could do a lot worse than Leicester, we've beaten them before at the walkers...

I reckon Ireland will do pretty well to be honest, they've got a good settled core group of players who are performing well at club level, well Munster at least.

Oh god life really won't be worth living in Wales get another grand slam.

I'd be happy with 3 good home wins under our belt. Going to Wales and Ireland will be tough, so as long as we're not humiliated in either, it won't be a bad campaign. Fresh start, still developing combinations etc...

So it's 6 nations day, anyone got any predictions?

I'm going for England beating Italy (we really can't loose that one!)
I'm thinking that maybe ireland will beat france.
As for wales scotland, I think if the scots ever wanted to satart their campaign with a bang this is where to start, i'm backing them (also my gf's welsh - boo!)

England by 20 (tight in first half). Italy are more than capable of getting the win, but with Bergamasco at 9 and a few of their forwards not on the top of their game, I think they'll struggle at Twickenham.

Ireland to beat France, but only by a single score... very difficult match to predict as they're both two unknown quantities at the moment.

As long as Wales lose. Scotland were far more likely to win before Murray and Hines pulled out though. And a couple of Hadden's selections are ludicrous.
