Did anyone see the story about the woman who had a tooth implanted in her eye to support a new lense that restored her sight after about ten years of being blind?
The doctor said the tooth was a perfect thing to use as the base for the lense, since the environment of the eye and of the mouth are so similar. (????)
It worked. They said she can see well enough to READ now.
Thing is, on one channel I saw this on, they showed one little tiny bit no other channel has shown...
There's apparently this THING, apparently part of the lense itself, that STICKS OUT OF HER EYE LIKE A LITTLE ROD.
All I can think of is the eyes on the mad scientist you see on the opening of ROBOT CHICKEN.
Yes...there's a little clear SHAFT sticking out of where her pupil should be.
Do you think she'll be wearing dark sunglasses permanently...for other people's sakes?
She said she's looking forward to seeing seven grandchildren she's never seen before.
I suspect she just wants to assimilate them.
