Healing burns in a matter of days with the stem-cell gun

The blood of 1 million dead babies is on every one of those guns. It is a technology designed to melt the soul of the person who uses it. Is the medical benefit to humanity worth it? We live twice as long now as we did not long ago. Was it worth it? Were vaccines and antibiotics that saved millions of bodies while burning the same numbers of souls worth it? Is raising the standard of living for so many people worth the risk offending the father who created us? His plan was for us to live the hard life after the first human fell from grace. Who are we to say that enough is enough? No, our loving father's metaphorical whip at our back is a reminder to be humble. Science seeks to elevate us with knowledge. Our father feels otherwise. There is a reason salve owners prevented their slaves from learning to read. And least we risk further offense, science is trying to open the books of existence to us. It is the tree of life all over again and if we read those books we fail our loving father a second time.

Oh, and I didn't come from no monkeys either....

pay closer attention. the stem cells( NOT FETAL stem cells) are generated from the person WHO HAS SUFFERED THE BURNS, with in 30 minutes of a culture, they are added to the applicator (the stem cell gun) & then sprayed on the affected areas. the guy HEALED WITH IN 2 DAYS( FROM HIS OWN STEM CELLS), with what would take weeks normally to heal with previous technology to healed burn people.

All pure technology with no pre-sentient clumps of cells involved. Plus best of all no hocus pocus involved from "miracle healers" either.

Discoveries like this are why i am a Transhumanist & have hope for the future. Despite religious fundies trying to hold back technological innovations(& the funding for such endeavors) to help improve the human condition, they are failing. :)

At the news above I cheered and at the humor directly above I lol'd.

if its that bad, get some cough drops.

I was trying to alert you to the fact that PurpleBuddha was being facetious. :p
figured he was. reported him anyway as a trolling when i saw his bad post.
:vulcan: I am afraid I do not understand. PurpleBuddha's post used sarcastic humor to reaffirm the point that you yourself made. If you did not understand that his intent was humorous I can understand the report. But if you did, then I fail to see the sense and frankly it comes across as kind of petty.

i have herd of PurpleBuddha form of humor via rumors around trekbbs( i mainly stick to TNZ area with occasional checking of other areas) plus seeing it a few times myself. PurpleBuddha from of humor (from what i gathered based on a few posts i seen of his & from what others said of it) as about at the level of a troll, only doing it to get reactions from others(ie troll humor, just in it for the LuLz).

Yep, you can only report if trolling has actually occurred. Not for someone using humorous sarcasm to agree with you.

Um, you didn't figure he was, because you attempted to refute it in the next post. His post was "I love Jesus" and his sig is "I hate Jesus". You missed that. It's okay, you don't have to cover yourself. We all have DOH! moments. No biggie.

I agree with your original post. I feel we should give everyone a "How do you feel about science test?" and those who earn a rating of "Fundie" are thereafter denied everything in existence that has resulted from the process of science.

To get back to something resembling the original topic, are we now a step closer to Trek medical technology? How soon will we have a device like Dr. McCoy's "anabolic protoplaser" or whatever it was called that could heal wounds almost instantly?

The sick part is there are some that would take that as a badge of honor.
