Head transplants

Further to the previous thread, I looked up the story of the dog's head transplant and found links and such:

This was 50 years ago now... given the advances in medical technology, isn't this just so cool?

There has been a successful (albeit temporary) head transplant on both a dog AND a monkey half a century ago!

I wonder if thye can transplant heads. Imagine, you're in a horrible car wreck and your body is torn to shreads, but your head is still there. They hook you up to a machine to keep the air and blood coming, and at the hospital there is the body of someone who died but requested to not transplant their head, so now you have new body.

Wasn't there a movie like this with Rosie Greer back in the 70s? The Thing With Two Heads

The head with two things?

I've only heard of that movie because Elvira mentioned it one time.

Anyway, would further experimentation into and development of head-transplant technology be "ethical" or "moral" or whatever crap like that, when compared to the potential benefits it could provide?
