From TV.com:

The only lead in a case forces Danny to ask his ex-wife for help when a ring of thieves targets an armored car, killing the security guards but not taking any of the money.

Hao' Kanka: Couldn't find any translation for this. So it's either the name of a character, a city/district in Hawaii or there's some oddity about that eludes the Hawaiian translation websites I visit to do this. It may even be some other language that's Hawaiian draws from or is similar to Hawaiian.

This episode was AWESOME!! Finally we get flights and the tights!! That fight with Mongol for the last 30 minutes was WAY unexpected!!

This was one of the best episodes so far. Man, that was a brutal clothes line. It looked like the guy landed on his head, and also nice tackle. Nice big house too, though it made me wish for a cameo of the Robin's Nest from Magnum P.I.

I understand its "Iron Man" as in the triathlon.

"Kanaka" is Hawaiian for "man", the episode title uses "kanka."

"Iron" being one of the translations for "hao'" I could find but either there was a typo for "kanaka" in the episode's title (found on TV.com) or it's some obscure Hawaiian word.

Now. Checking CBS' website gives this episode title as "heihei" which is Hawaiian for "race contest" which jives with the "iron man" translation given above.

So we had a Point Break/Fast & Furious triathlon team. I thought triathletes were solo warriors :vulcan:. Who pulled a triple murder to recon a diamond heist. Our criminal athletes are getting to be much worse people.

What was with the ex-con painter knowing what Five-0 was. I understand they are building a body count and might get attention but there are only four cops. Was the memo that HPD got distributed to the state pen also?

Well if a tv reporter knows McGarrett and Williams on sight why wouldn't anyone else? or have heard of 5-0?

It's a small group yes but at the same time is engaged in high profile work and it's never been a secret unit.

Its implied that they have had many more cases than what we have seen, giving them more time to build a reputation.

Hard to cover up a fire fight and explosions at Mcgarrets house. No doubt much tv coverage of the event and now everyone would know about them.

Some awesome takedowns at the end. The hose clothesline...awesome. Danno's wife...hot.

I'm betting that sometime this season there will be an episode where Danno's ex-wife's husband will be a suspect in a 5-0 investigation. He'll think he's guilty, she'll defend him and he probably turns out innocent in the end.

^ Oh, I hope now that Rachel's seen Danno in action, she's rethinking that new hubbie.
Did you see that look she was giving him? I so wanna see more of her!
McGarrett called it when he said she was cool.

Anyway, the takedowns absolutely rocked!

I'm not sure Rachel could go back to Danno while he's a cop.

She knows he's a good cop but the stress of worrying about whether he's gonna come home at night probably became too much (something I suspect is probably quite common IRL).

After 2 really superior episodes in a row, this one was a step down for me. I like that Danno has a daughter that is his whole life, but the bitter ex-wife relationship just detracts from the show (probably just personal bias from my own RL experience, though). I thought the plot device used to try and bring them together was too much. The take-downs were fun to watch, but this ep was just ok, IMO.
