Have you had the Swine Flu?

According to the Urgent Care my girlfriend went to, she had it. Her fever was up to 102.5 degrees. She got a bunch of different medicines for it. They gave her 1000 miligrams of Tylenol to reduce her fever plus she had Tamiflu and an antibiotic because of bronchitis that seemed to come along with the flu.

I got sick about a week later. I've been sick in various stages for about 3 weeks and I'm still not 100%. I get exhausted easily. I feel pretty terrible. I changed some lights on the outside of my mom's house and I was wiped out for quite a while afterward.

I had it, so did both of my kids. It's brutal, my fever got up to 103.7 and then worked it's way back down to normal over 4 days, and then spiked up again to 102.4 and took 3 days to finally get back to normal. All told I felt like hell for 2 weeks and then had zero energy for another 1.5 weeks. I started feeling normal again last week.
My kids were over it in just a few days.

I had it as well. It sucked. I was sent home from school for all of last week. I just came back on Sunday. Almost 30 people ended up being sent home from my dorm building. My fever got as high as 102.8, I was coughing, light headed and dizzy when I was on my feet. I slept for most of that week I was out. Still been tired since then.

Nope, I was vaccinated almost a month ago.

My sister did get the Swine Flu and she felt really, really awful with it.

I've had it and it's pretty bad. Couldn't get out of bed for a few days as I felt so tired and weak. Had Tamiflu which did help.
I know that it's bad in some places in US and Canada.

Not had it and I have not been Vaccinated either and don't intend to be, they should use that on other people who are at risk more to dying if they get it. I do wonder how many people this Christmas will get the Flu and panic thinking its Swine Flu.

No, and even though I haven't had the shot, I'm not really worried -- I think the media has blown it out of proportion, personally. Like RoJo, it's been years since I've been sick, and I don't intend to break that record anytime in the near future.

I've gotten the regular flu shot but can't get/find the swine flu shot, I'm in my mid-twenties and worried.

My gf had it a couple of weeks ago, I never developed symptoms despite being in the same house etc. so looks promising for my future contraction of it.

My sister had it at Uni....... so she came all the way down to London and stayed at home where I was. Luckily I didn't get but I have the terrible luck of catching the common cold 2-3 times a year. Hopefully I won't get it.

I've had some kind of flu this year (assuming it's swine flu based on who I've had contact with) and a few other people I know have been confirmed to have had it.

None of them are dead. All hype.

Not yet. Only got the vaccine for the seasonal flu, so I'm still at risk, but I just do my best to avoid contact with anyone who sneezes a lot.

My wife and two of my kids had it. They were miserable. My daughter was the worst--her fever kept spiking to 104 for the better part of a week. Just as soon as she would get it down, it would spike up again. Finally, it quit going up.

They went to the ER the first time, just to be safe. They managed to stay hydrated and everyone is okay now. My son, who has my immune system (knock on wood), barely even felt it, thankfully.

Friends father died last week due to complications from it, but he was already terminal with cancer before he caught it.

Quite a few family and friends have had it, but I haven't developed symptoms yet. It's worth mentioning that not a single family member or friend was in danger of dying. Everyone more or less shrugs it off. "Oh, he/she has swine flu" "ah, okay. Hope they get well soon". "Thanks". :)
