Has anyone read the Isles of Glory trilogy or the Gap Cycle series?

The Isles of Glory by Glenda Larke. Is it any good? Are the characters interesting? Would be it worth reading from beginning to end?

OR

The Gap Cycle series by Stephen Donaldson. Some people call it disturbing. Some people tell it a great read. A few compare it to Babylon 5. What do you think?

I've read the Gap Cycle by SRD... have you read anything else by him? He has a habit of physically and psychologically abusing his characters and is perhaps the classic love-it-or-hate-it genre author of recent times lol... I liked the series a lot, but there are times you'll be great a-feared for the author's sanity. :wtf: I'd call it great, disturbing, disturbingly great, and greatly disturbing...
