The counters look kind of SFB-ish, and the box has a "Cole's Star", so I imagine that there's some kind of connection.

The minis were the same Lou Zocchi minis (at least, the Federation ships).

Yeah, the second image has a lot of Japanese, so I figured that part. Interesting about the Zocchi minis. Any idea of the year?

Looks like a Star Fleet Battles knock-off, only with Paramount approval.

I’ve seen their RPG, it is not a knockoff of any English-language RPG. Lovingly made, too.

Looked up comments on BGG. Apparently it's a strategic game, including tons of production rules. Looks interesting, but the Ebay price is outside consideration for pure curiosity for me.
