I just re-watched this the other day. Man, he just chews the scenery up in this two-parter. I l-o-v-e it! His performance is so OTT I can't believe he doesn't get more credit. I'm not certain what the love affair is with John Simms, but I'll take Lloyd's quirky psycho over Simms campy "Riddler" any day.
I heard at one point Eccleston might take on The Prisoner for a new miniseries. Actually, given Lloyd's slant, McGoohan-like expressions, I'd pick him as the new Number Six...
Also, I haven't seen the quite silly looking new Robin Hood series on BBCAmerica yet, but I read that Lloyd is in it. I might check it out.
Anyone else appreciate his performance?
(P.S. I've had quite a few Guinness this evening, so I might be over-selling my love of him
