Harry Lloyd from Human Nature

The

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
I just re-watched this the other day. Man, he just chews the scenery up in this two-parter. I l-o-v-e it! His performance is so OTT I can't believe he doesn't get more credit. I'm not certain what the love affair is with John Simms, but I'll take Lloyd's quirky psycho over Simms campy "Riddler" any day.

I heard at one point Eccleston might take on The Prisoner for a new miniseries. Actually, given Lloyd's slant, McGoohan-like expressions, I'd pick him as the new Number Six...

Also, I haven't seen the quite silly looking new Robin Hood series on BBCAmerica yet, but I read that Lloyd is in it. I might check it out.

Anyone else appreciate his performance?

(P.S. I've had quite a few Guinness this evening, so I might be over-selling my love of him  )

That reminds me, The Prisonor is next on my To Watch list but still haven't gotten to it...

I suppose I should rectify that.

And just how many pints did you have last night? Or early this morning as the case may be? :D

But yes, it was a good performance.

....whew....this thread is a bit of blur...kind of like my head right now....but, I still think he would make a good Number 6... ;)

Do you think the modern Sonic Screwdriver has a "cure hangover" setting? ;)

I thought he was really good as Son-of-Mine as well. Quirky-creepy. And before his body was hijacked, he also played the pompous jerk well too. :D

Yeah, his performance as Son of Mine was... unique. I loved it - OTT, but with a certain style.

Well, someone needs to be over the top in this story since David Tennant is toning things down a bit to play the human John Smith. ;) But yes, I agree it's a very strong, quirky performance.
