The prolific character actor probably known to many of us best for his role as the sardonic Brett in Alien and Brain in Escape From New York has passed at the age of 91.

I just saw this.. and it hurts me. He was one of my favorite actors. Alien is my favorite film of all time, and he was in so many excellent and, in some cases, really underappreciated films (e.g. Cockfighter, Two Lane Blacktop, etc.).
Going to rewatch Alien and quaff a bräu in his honor.
RIP Stanton...

Ironically, I remember him best from "Kelly's Heroes" . . . and "The Avengers".
